The Miro Foundation

Miro believes that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a fundamental aspect in the design of its businesses, ensuring that communities have a vested interest in the success of these investments. Miro launched ‘The Miro Foundation’ to develop initiatives that help communities help themselves, replacing a dependence mindset with empowerment and the ability to achieve their own objectives.

In 1999, Miro founded The Learning Paper to support the education of children thereby helping to relieve poverty in developing countries.

There are those who enter the world in such poverty that they are deprived of both the means and the motivation to improve their circumstances. Unless they can be touched with the spark which ignites the spirit of individual enterprise and determination, they will only sink into apathy, degradation and despair. It is for us, who are more fortunate, to provide that spark.
